Major herd influences have been the purchase of stock bulls Hockenhull North Star and Preston Boomerang, who have both left calves with tremendous muscling and growth rates. many of their daughters are still excellent breeding cows within the herd. Boomerang sired Drumsleed gayle, another of our very successful show cows. Her full brother, Hydro, is herd sire at Dirtydale.

Beeches Kestrel was bought in 2000. His first three calves sold at Perth in February 2003 for an average of 5,300gns. He went on to sire Drumsleed Nugget, who was sold for 7,000 guineas after winning first prize and reserve senior champion at Perth Bull Sales in October 2003.
